The Motherhood Journey Newsletter Week 10

Wisdom from above - Its all His work!

“But whoever listens to me will dwell secure and will be at ease, without dread of disaster.” Proverbs 1:33

Hello sweet Mummas,

Goodmorning !!! Welcome to another day. Another day to choose, another day to experience, another day to be in wonder. Life can feel very full and at times like - this is too much for me - but when we calm down our emotions and try and make our thoughts just a little more accurate to the real truth we can see there is challenge yes, but also a very capable YOU who is growing, who is being lead by a good Father and wisdom continually available from the heavenly realms. Challenge and empowerment can co-exist. Choose today in face of challenge, rather than just this is too hard, instead lead with “I can do hard thing…”.

Real Life in the motherhood journey:

Our week! Was filled with fun as usual and slower days (until the weekend) which was nice! We did the usual school, spent time with friends did homeschool. Our sweet little Flo broke out in a big rash all over her body, praise God she is almost all cleared up now, so that was a good opportunity to step into faith, focusing on who I know God is rather than how much faith I do or do not have in these circumstances. We finished the weekend with a surprise visit to the zoo from dad and enjoyed family time after church.

Get some ideas!

God Time:

Below are some ways I connect with the Father while being a busy mum. Hope it can inspire some of you:

Waking early - I know not for everyone or for every season. However choosing this as one of the highest priorities in my day (and so sacrificing other things to make it work - like going to bed early) Is a game changer to not only spending time with God but also starting the day off with a positive mindset.

Journaling - As you all know Alignment journaling has changed my life and is the practice I do daily for just 5 mins to connect with the Father, His truth and my ACTUAL application of it! Check out Tessa Romero on instagram to learn more about it.

Worship music - in those season where I feel like I can barely get a few minutes alone to connect with the Lord, having worship music playing in my home while I do chores, in my ear while Im feeding my baby to sleep and in the car to sing along with the kids is such a sweet blessing to my soul.

!! Final point !! Learn how to spend time with the Lord, read the bible, journal and pray WHILE your children are around you. Now there is definitely beauty for both and absolute solitary time with God is precious, however if you have children that no matter what time you wake (yes Im talking before 5am sometimes) will be awake and with you, or not old enough to respect boundaries of staying in a seperate room. Then learn the beauty of having your bible out through the day, taking a quick time to read a chapter with a coffee while the kids playing around you. A little testimony of this is that my 4 year old son asks to do his ‘writing time with the Lord’ once Im finished mine in the morning. The things he gets me to write are heart moving. Never would I have enjoyed his heart connection with God on that level if he wasn’t there with me.

Walking in His truth:
As you would know I am participating in the GENTLENESS CHALLENGE right now (if you dont know what im talking about head over to the podcast for last weeks episode) and so I am putting an extra effort in making sure my words, mind and actions stay beautiful and fruitful. I have already forgotten many times and we are only on day 3. but thats okay. Each time I remember I just refocus. wahooo

I have felt to be reading the book of PROVERBS daily .. and my oh my are there SO many practical and spiritual truths to put into place and soooo many about your words and actions being of goodness - producing goodness! This weeks bible verse (at the top of the email) is SO powerful. And here is another one further down in Porverbs:

For the Lord gives wisdom;
 from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;
he stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
 he is a shield to those who walk in integrity,
guarding the paths of justice
 and watching over the way of his saints.
Then you will understand righteousness and justice
 and equity, every good path;
 for wisdom will come into your heart,
 and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul;”
Prov 2:6-10

Wow ! God has soo much available for us (and this is OT !! under the ministry of condemnation. Imagine what is available NOW under the ministry of righteousness! (2 corn 3:9) yay!

God watches over us, he also stores up wisdom for us, he is our shield, he gives to us and guards us. We have so much going for us as we seek being the mummas we want to be, Him healing our hearts and growing in His truth.

Know that while you pursue speaking kindly and holding peace in your heart - if your doing the challenge or not - God is for you and the one who is doing all the work inside you. Dont keep trying, just receive and believe the goodness is pouring out as you surrender to Him.

Love always
