The Motherhood Journey Newsletter Week 16

Have that cup of tea - Sit back at the table!

How priceless is your unfailing love, O God!
People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.
They feast on the abundance of your house;
you give them drink from your river of delights.” Psalms 36:7-9

Hello sweet Mummas,

Hello! Hello! Hello and welcome! To our little connect space. How are you sweeet mumma? If anything this is a little email to say you are seen. We are in this together with laundry that is needing to be done, rooms that are messier then we would like and kids with snot in their eyebrows ready for a smooshy cuddle. We are here together. through the joys and challenges.

And you (and I) have so got this, with a little hope and a little encouragement we can be the mummas we want to be today. Even if it’s just one little step that brings us closer to peace.

Tell me mumma… on this more personal note of email what would you like to connect with me over?

Lets dive in and I hope something that is shared can lift your spirits and beam the goodness that is in your heart.

Real Life in the motherhood journey:

A little glimpse from our week!

This catch up is a little more spesh as we got blessed with a weekend away from my sweet parents which was SO refreshing! We got to spend a couple of days at the beach and it always warms my heart that our kids get the best of both worlds (the bush and the beach). So we are very thankful for that. Before our wknd getaway we enjoyed a little bit of school (mainly just nature exploration) and spending time in fellowship. Good week so far and looking forward to a very normal week now of having nothing planned (really gotta smash out some school books 🙈 ).

Get some ideas!

Today is a practical share. The Lord is convicting me and guiding my family in some pretty clear ways to steward our bodies well for this next season. Its pretty fun to be honest. Some of the ways I am diving into this is below. If you wana join me in any of them go ahead and let me know. Sometimes its fun to have an accountability partner for that extra kick in the butt to steward our holy temples well!!

-We are doing a Gluten and Refined Sugar free fast for 3 months starting Friday! (massive for us as I love sourdough. But its pretty clear we need to do this in this season)
-Got back into my morning stretches/pilates that I do for just 5-10 mins before my shower in the morning to stretch out my body and strengthen my core
- Run in the fields every second day with my husband. Just trying to get our heart rates up and get a sweat up. Usually just 15mins
- Nettle tea every day
- I was gifted for this next month Nourishing Energy and Revitalise from Honnour Wellness (check it out if you havent. they are the best!) which will be nourishing my body alongside this!

Wana join?

Walking in His truth:

What a cracker of a verse todays one is! Although I am diving more into this in tomorrows podcast I thought it was still worthy to share here in this intensional space. Because for the truth to really be stuck down, us mummas need lots of touches of reference to get it past our brains filled with grocery lists and science questions haha

How good is our God?!? Not only is He Almighty creator, Lord of ALL, He also wants us to enjoy Him, be nourished, sustained and satisfied in His goodness. What a God we serve!!!

May this verse be taken to heart mummas. Warm you up like a nice cup of tea. He calls His people to find refuge in Him. To feast on Him and drink of His delight. This is so for us Mums! We were never made to do this alone or to just be good enough. Its a continual journey of coming back to the well, being rested at the feast at the end of the day AND acknowledging that He alone is the fountain of life for us to SEE light in all circumstances (truth and purity) when we are seeing as He sees.

Be blessed mumma! Have a cup of tea, sit at the table, spend time in the light and be nourished.

Love always
