Peace is Created When we Remove Judgement
“But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.”
Hello sweet Mummas,
Welcome to another week of mothering our little ones. I hope to be a friendly voice of encouragement, realness and hope in your week today as I share from my real mumming life and the little fun things the Lord has been teaching me. Let’s be love, courageous and powerful in our kids lives this week. Each step holding onto the mighty hands of Jesus.
Real Life in the motherhood journey:
A little glimpse from our week!
This past week we did very little homeschooling and had lots of family time with a visit from my husbands sisters for a couple of days and then the weekend spent down the coast with more family where we did fishing, family meals, karaoke games, sushi card games and lots of good chats. The kids had such a fun time being with aunties/uncles and cousins and I was so thankful for the extra adult hands as I had hurt my back earlier in the week. Thankfully Its almost all healed up now - thank you Jesus! Other news is that our sweet Flo burnt her hand (so sad) so has had to have it wrapped all week. Here are a few pics of our normal and our adventurous life.

A share for this week is Julie Kreke’s website - this is for the homeshcool mummas out there. This lady has blessed me BIG time (in many ways) especially in homeschooling and her website has great ideas, systems and insight in how to teach your kids through a ‘delight directed’ approach. https://thedelightfulhomeschool.com/
Walking in His truth:
My share for this week of what God has been teaching me -` that I hope can encourage you mummas - is about having a perspective of grace towards others rather than judgement. And the power of gentleness and peace that this brings to the home. I have committed a whole podcast episode to this where I encourage us as mummas to ‘observe without judgement’ a circumstance and allow the creative part of your brain to see from others perspectives and also see the bigger picture rather than what your emotional mind may be highlighting in the moment. I feel I mostly learn lessons in this area when it comes to my (amazing) husband. As for some reason I can feel emotions and hold expectation toward the one I treasure the most, more than I would to any other human. This concept alongside the truth that ‘life is not happening to me, its simply just happening’ helps me a bunch to release a victim mentality and to focus on doing my own job well rather then allowing negative feelings to rise up in judgement of others. Releasing control seems to be a common narrative amongst mummas. I can find myself gripping for control when things feel too big, overwhelming or hard.
The beautiful thing we can do mummas (it is a superpower) is to let go, choose grace and see that what goes on around us is just simply life (neutral) -we get to choose if its going to bring negative impact or not. The way we as mummas function in our duties, in response to our husbands and negative situations are all seen by our kiddos and are in fact their greatest teachers. These concepts may sound basic, but I know from experience, that when we press in to help our minds choose to function by the Spirit (feelings, thoughts and actions that represent life) rather than our flesh (whatever we feel is our rights in that moment to be demanded for) gentleness comes forth. Through our peacemaking a harvest of righteousness is being released. AND we grow in functioning from heavenly wisdom, not what seems right to a man. What a gift to our children and families.
“But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.”
