Ask and It Will be Given to You

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7

Hello sweet Mummas,

Welcome to another weeek!! I hope to find you well in this email. This last week has been one of sickness for us unfortunately. None the less, the Father has been faithful as always, the children have giggled and played and the sun has shined. Each day we have so many reasons to look up and say “this is the day the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it’. We have still gotten up to some fun things in between, check out below to see a sneak peak…..

Real Life in the motherhood journey:

A little glimpse from our week!

This week we started it off with our usual Monday river trip (5 mins down from our rd) and this time got to try out Brads new inflatable kayak which I surprised him with, very fun! We made sushi at home and brought it for a little picnic. Although the river was flooded, we still managed to enjoy alongside the edges. After this we had a big trip into our closest city (an hour and a half away) for a physio appointment for our son which we decided to turn into an Indian dinner experience since we were there you know 😄 ). Wednesday and Thursday was filled with usual household things, of schooling, cleaning and spending time with my champions. Friday I got sick and so lots of rest and the kids had a few adventures with dad over the next following days. Brad built our new spot for firewood to live and we had our first fires for the season. Soooo cosy!! We ended with a rest day on Sunday, and although we missed church we greatly enjoyed the slow time together.

Walking in His truth:

This week (and let’s be honest every week) challenges arise which call us to attention to rely deeply and solely on our Fathers goodness and mercy to get us through. If this is little, like over spilled milk (the one millionth time) or over bigger family struggles like a financial one (the good thing about this one is the promise that God is our provider. We don’t need to act like the Gentiles do and worry about our provision. He always has this one set and sorted for us. It’s not always as easy to believe that in the moment. But regardless it is the truth that stands. So let’s choose to believe with the littlest yes we can give. He accepts it and takes care of the rest). I was reading from Matthew 7 today in my God time and a few things stuck out. One of them was the ‘ask and you will receive’ passage. It’s very simple and very powerful.

Ask and you will be given
Knock and the door will be open
Seek and you will find

Instead of getting all theological about this passage as I can often find myself doing (sometimes I dive into confusion over the word because of my experiences rather humble open my heart to be renewed in receiving what it is saying) lets allow these words to be a new boost of hope, direction and drive in us. Let’s bring the things we desire most before Him, asking, seeking and knocking and have a renewed CHOICE of faith that He will do His good pleasure to bring forth what is right and Holy for our lives. MY prayer for this week in these things is for His direction and favour over my husbands business currently. We need His mighty Hand to move, and today I cling to these passages believing HE WILL.

What do you need to ask, knock and seek for? with the new hope that He will deliver…..
