Our First Newsletter - Hello!
“and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator.” Colosions 3:10
Hello sweet Mummas,
Welcome to our first newsletter! My hopes in this connection space is that we can more personally dive into the nitty gritty aspects of motherhood and have hope for more in how Christ views it all. Hopefully this space will make you feel seen (as its so important to know your not alone in the things you face in motherhood) as I share aspects of my own walk, while also being a unified body that always are heading towards truth, taking our thoughts captive and enjoying the fullness God has for us right now (covered maybe in a little bit of pee, a little bit of poo, maybe some vomit mixed in with laundry all around us 🙈).
Real Life in the motherhood journey:
A little glimpse from our week!
This week was an Apple week on our little wana be homestead. We harvested sooo many apples (probably between 200-300). And so it was the perfect excuse to use the new water/pressure canner to do something with them - so we canned 9 jars of apple slices. We also did Apple cider and some dehydrated apples. Below are some pics!! It is exciting for our future and soo fun to do team projects… but lots more work than I thought. I was exhausted after canning haha. Alongside this we had my parents visit for a few days! we also had a flat tire and got stuck in town for a couple of hours after ballet, lots of fun homeschool (including tricky sibling being bored while we learn) fun art projects, baking and starting to dive into some of our Easter learning for the month.
Alongside the fun, with have had my two youngest sick and so veryyyyy tired (and might I add whiny), one of our days started at 3am, the next night sweet baby Flo decided to have a little up party at 12am for an hour or so and our water filter stopped working (which may sound simple but not when you only have bore water/tank water that has green stuff floating in it 😂). Motherhood is a mix between challenge and joy - the perfect combo to rejoice in!

Walking in His truth:
Being a mother is SO incredibly powerful, important and holy. This statement is true. BUT does it always feel this way? no. Well good thing we don’t live based on what we feel. We live from truth. ISN’T THAT AWESOME!! Feelings are a God given experience, and are important to be listened to and sometimes guided from, but they are in no way our leaders. Putting them in their correct place is super helpful.
Let me share with you the phrase I have been feasting off this week which just pours out of my heart because of the journey I have walked. It is, “ Jesus you have saved me from myself.”
-- this is from the song, “More Like Jesus’ by One Voice INT Music —
Often I have found that the habits and perspectives I have been trained in from growing up in this world bring me down. I look back and see so much goodness and joy from my previous years, but also so many things in my mindsets that didnt align with truth. Today, it moves my heart so deeply to know that each day I am walking towards the truth, the light, freedom and who Christ truely made me as. As the muck and dirt fall off me (freedom from sins bondage Rom 6:22) I get to enjoy peace, freedom and contentment more and more. This comes thrugh a renweing of our minds (seeing clearly Rom 12:2, Matt 6:22-23) denying our flesh (Gal 5:24) and pursuing with humility closeness with the Father in an authentic, wholehearted and surrendered journey.
The cool news for you today mumma, is that we are in this together, journeying towards Gods goodness and light, learning what it means to be free of all the things that bring us down, and taking each step each day to enjoy the brilliance that Christ died for us to have.
Being mummas who shine, who thrive and who show Gods goodness! This is what we want to be. We dont want to just survive and we don’t want to drag out feet. We want to be the powerful force of Gods love, holiness and purity that he intended when he made women. As we walk with God, draw close with humility and start to change the way we SEE, we will understand more the beauty and power of being a helper to our husbands (and children) through the power of the ‘Helper’ HolySpirit. We can realise that serving and being the last in this world is where Christ says the greatest of His kingdom is found.
Are you ready to be great today?
Love always
